Roller Card

I remember doing a workshop many years ago making these and I had so much fun putting another one together. I call these roller cards but I am sure they have other names as well lol! You can purchase the instructions here so that you can make one of these little babies yourself. You can see how it works in the quick vid below.

Tag 6

I am a bit behind on the whole Tim Holtz timetable but plugging away regardless. Despite creating tags that dont look anything like his I am having a lot of fun being inspired by the features and techniques he is using. This one was super simple. Tag cut from pattern paper. Greeting stamped and embossed onto crumb cake card. Leaves cut scrunched, inked glued and brads added (didnt have red ones for berries LOL) If you want further details or have questions please ask more than happy to provide this on any of my projects :)

Tag 5

This one was cute. I had purchased a make a snowman stamp kit a few years pack and finally christened it!! I mounted the snowman on pattern blue paper and the leaves were die cut. I drew on some glue and added the glitter.

Tag 4

More Christmas tag fun! For this one I die cut a tag in red and then stamped the sentiment across the background. Scallop punch and attach a stamped image to the front. Attach brads to the scallops. Add a cut border to the bottom and place on some rhinestones, tie on some ribbon!! Tada!!

Tag 3

My sample for tag 3 of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas. I inked the back in two colours and used rubons for the background wordle. The cluster at the bottom were dies from Tim Holtzs Autumn gatherings. Of course I had to add some bling.

Tags

Well my second tag from the Tim Holtz 12 days looks nothing like his number two!! not surprising though I tend to go off on a tangent. I began by stamping and embossing the medallion stamp in black. I then used wild wasabi and blue indigo ink to shade in the tag.. I then used a wash of off white paint over the top. The flower was made using the petal punch and each piece was embossed. I cut inked embossed and stamped the xmas greeting on to crumb cake card. Happy with this one :)

Pop Up Fun

I have so much fun finding inspiration from other online crafters. I got the idea for the insert from Valita's Fresh Folds Utube channel and applied my own idea for the decoration of the card using the Stampin up Flight of the Butterfly stamps. Its a beautiful card and I am creating a how to video because I just know that you will definately want to try it too! I shall upload it tomorrow until then you can visit my You tube Channel for more ideas :)

Butterfly Frame

Only got to play a little bit with some products on the weekend. I created this little frame using the Flight of the Butterfly stamp kit and the brights pattern stack. I cut around the stamped butterflies and added some glitter and gloss :) The frame was from the $2 shop and I white washed it with acrylic paint. Quite like how it turned out :)

Making My Own Flowers

There are tonnes of utube clips out there on how to make flowers. Thought I would take some time to try it out myself. I pulled out some Prima pattern papers I had stored away for ages and rang them through the Big Shot Sizzix machine using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die.

I diecut seven large flowers and 4 small flowers. Once they were diecut I rubbed a little water over the back off them and scrunched then carefully unfolded each piece and kept going like this layering all the pieces until they were all done. Then I put a brad through the centre and zhushed it up being careful not to tear the paper.

Once dry (usually take an hour or two) they are crinkly and hard and look fabulous. You could bling them up with glimmer glam or mist, sray on adhesive and glitter, add sparkly brads and novelty centres!! the mind boggles!! Here are a couple of experimental ones.
