Caran D Ache Gouache Paints

 Holidays for me mean time. Time to rest. Time to catchup and most importantly time to create. I recently found a new Art store in Hobart and couldnt resist a visit which as you know alwasy ends up with a purchase and I walked out with a new sketchbook and a Caran D Ache Gouache paint set. This was really interesting as I had used Gouache in a tube before and I absolutely love my Jelly Gouache set. I wasnt quite sure how this was going to look on paper. I am finding it a bit more like watercolour than the thick opaque jelly sets that I am used to. Thank goodness I have time to play with these paints and test the limits!!

Launch of my own Pattern Papers

It has been quite the busy year hasnt it? I dont know what it is like at your end of the world, but for me it has whizzed past in a flash. I had a tonne of hopes and plans for this year, realistically, I am achieving just a small handful of those goals. The main one, publishing some books. I love books, in fact my husband call be a book hoarder!!! But these books that I am creating are not just your normal run of the mill kind of books I am branching out into the digital rhelm and into digital scrapbook pattern paper pads with pattern papers that I have been creating.

 Which now leads me to introduce my Autumnal Colours release.. TA DA

Living in Hobart Tasmania you really get to experience the four seasons of the year and my favourite season is Autumn or Fall (depending upon the part of the world that you live in). Earth puts on a performance during these wonderful few months of the year and we are treated to a show. I also love running through the leaves and feeling the crunch underfoot. This was the inspiration for these papers.

I printed of a sample of these papers to create a scrapbook page to share with you all- I have to admit it was a bit of a rush job as Hubby and I were heading out for lunch... hopefully you get a sense of the designs

Gift a Bottle of Wine with a Wine Topper

Who does not like getting wine as gift? I mean apart from those of you who always make good choices in your life. I certainly like wine and if I am being particular the odd drop of champagne brings bubbly fun into my life. 

Imagine if you were to top that bottle with a homemade sentiment. I am sure that it would taste even sweeter and you would stand out from all the others who opted for the bottle bag  at the bottle shop checkout instead! 

I spent a bit of time creating this wine topper in "inkscape" and have it saved as a png file that you are able to access so that you too can join in the fun. I am still working on developing my skills so that I can create my very own SVG's based on my own drawings.

Here is my link to the .png files you can use as a template if you don’t have a cutting machine, or you can upload them to Cricut as a cut image – select complex /print image but make sure you remove any white background. You can then save to have on hand for all your future projects CLICK HERE
